Abstract:From August 2017 to August 2022, 8 patients with non-pancreatic abdominal cystic lesions received endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle injection (EUS-FNI) at the Department of Gastroenterology, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. Among whom, 2 were liver cysts, 2 were spleen cysts, 3 were kidney cysts, and the remaining 1 was cyst in gastropancreatic space. A total of 11 times of EUS-FNI were performed, in which 2 were managed by ethanol and 9 by lauromacrogol with a success rate of 100.0% (11/11). During a follow-up of 3 months to 5 years, 5 cases had a complete disappearance of cyst, and the cysts reduced more than 50% in the other 3 cases. The preliminary result reveals that EUS-FNI may serve as a safe and effective therapeutic method for non-pancreatic abdominal cystic lesions.
