Abstract:Liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension may cause gastrointestinal varices. Endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection plays an important role in the treatment of gastrointestinal varices. However, no specific consensus on endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection home and abroad has been published. In 2022, authoritative experts in relative field all over the country under the leadership of Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment of Esophagogastric Varices Group of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopology conducted a comprehensive discussion and proposed the consensus, to serve as a tool for Chinese clinicians to standardize endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection treatment for gastrointestinal varices. There are 11 parts in the consensus, with a total of 22 recommendations, including grading and diagnosis of gastrointestinal varices, indication of endoscopic cyanoacrylate injection, etc.
